Rain or Shine policy: |
|
The DONMA workshop will proceed rain or shine. The facilities offer many working locations both indoors and outdoors. In the event of inclement weather, we will work indoors, but safety allowing, models will also work outdoors in the rain. Please prepare for the possibility of inclement weather and bring whatever necessary to protect your gear. |
Refund policy:We understand that plans sometimes change due to circumstances outside your control. You may cancel your registration with no penalty up to 60 days before the event by e-mailing us. If you cancel between 45-60 days before the event we will refund your registration fee, minus a $15 administrative fee. There will be no refunds at all less than 45 days prior to the event. If a lack of registration cancels the workshop, all workshop fees paid will be refunded promptly. The go-no-go date is 30 days prior to the event, which will still allow a 21-day advance airfare purchase if needed. Please register early to express your interest. Please do not wait until 30 days before or you will be contributing to a lack of participation. |
Working medium:Outside the possibility of specially facilitated sessions, there will be no body painting or body casting of models. Due to the limited facilities for models to clean up afterwards we are unable to support these specific artistic endeavors. We are also unable to support video recording at this workshop. No video cameras will be permitted. Photography created at this workshop is with assigned photography models only. You may not photograph models outside sessions for which you are on the schedule. Do not overshoot while another photographer is working. |
Artist and Model waivers:
There will be a 'statement of purpose' to sign at the registration desk for all registrants. Because we are guests at a private location where although legal, nudity is expected, the property owner has asked that you sign a statement indicating that you are not acting in a law enforcement capacity, and that you agree to conduct yourself in a professional manner, not endangering others, not damaging property, and not engaging in illegal behavior. Please do not share the private address of the workshop in any public way. The models have agreed to sign waivers for any artist with whom they are scheduled to work. Copies of pre-signed release forms will be available for each model after all sessions are completed. You may sell the artworks you create for profit with no further compensation to the models. A specific waiver is being signed by photography models only that will allow limited permission for promotion or distribution of their image/likeness online. The definition of "online use" is restricted to posting images on personal web sites, or in art gallery type web sites as either a demonstration of your work or examples of your work for sale. This restriction is to limit the public exposure of the models who support the artistic endeavors of photographers and artists, but are unwilling to release their image for mass consumption by the Internet public, either through online auction, or affiliation with a paid subscription or pornography web site. This workshop is meant to promote the preferential creation of fine art. We appreciate the willingness of a variety of models to participate in the workshop and agree to this restriction for the type of internet use for photographs. While it is completely legitimate to photograph erotic poses, these are not approved for internet distribution as porn, on auction sites like NaughtyBids, and similar sites. As said before, you may post these images as part of your personal web site, gallery site, or in your online store for the sale of your artworks. DONMA will support the models in enforcement of this policy. |
