If you are interested in modeling, please read further to understand the requirements. Fitness/athletic and the most handsome models will be given preference, however the photographers are the ones who set the parameters for what an "ideal" model is for these workshops. Please make sure you understand that this modeling assignment is a commitment. We will be sending you a legal contract for your services, and we expect you to perform the duties outlined below. If you decide you'd like to model for this workshop, send us e-mail detailing your interest. Download (2007 forms not available yet) and complete the required forms. We recommend you invite all the artists with whom you have worked before, because the more artists that register, the more models we will be hiring.

Responsibilities:

• Arrive one hour prior to the first session.
• Bring a robe or sweatpants to wear during breaks
• Be willing to work both indoors and outdoors
• Be able to accept direction from artists
• Be able to hold poses for some number of minutes
• Sign a model release form
• Behave in a professional manner
• Bring a towel to sit on, and sun-block lotion
• Be able to work all scheduled sessions
• Must be 18+ to work as a model with valid ID
• Complete all paperwork prior to being considered

For your benefit:

• There are 15 minute breaks between each session
• Your lunch is included
• Bottled water is provided throughout the day
• You will get to work with a wide variety of artists from all over the country
• You may decline any requested pose if you feel uncomfortable
• Photography models will be paid $45/hour for your modeling time (breaks not included)
• Photography models will be asked to sign an additional waiver allowing images to be used by the registered artists on the Internet. This is limited to personal web sites or art gallery style exhibit and sales web sites.
• You may make contacts for additional modeling work

We understand that not every artist likes to share their creative process. Also, not everyone has an artistic process that develops well in distinct one hour sessions. In light of this, we are offering you the opportunity to request an exclusive arrangement. This means you will have a one-on-one relationship with just one or different models throughout the day. Your model will receive the same breaks and lunchtime that all other models will receive (they're not mannequins after all). You may allow others to observe you and your model during your private work, but overshooting is prohibited. This arrangement may interest you if you want to work on an in-depth study of one model. The regular sessions require that you shuffle between locations and models. All model assignments will be made prior to the workshop. Model assignments will be made at random, without overlap, making certain to have a different model for each session. If you register for an exclusive arrangement, you will be able to choose your primary model and the number of sessions that you want with that model. For all sessions you are not working with your primary model, the assignment will be made at random. Requests for specific models in the exclusive arrangement are processed in the order in which they are received. All model assignments are subject to the availability of that model at a point three weeks prior to the workshop. The total number of models will depend on the total number of workshop registrants.

If you choose an exclusive arrangement, we cannot offer you exclusive domain over the most popular locations where the other the models will be working throughout the day (such as a swimming pool), but you will have many excellent places where you can take your model to work without conflict. We do our best to find attractive models ahead of time, and there will be an initial selection of models posted at the time a workshop is announced. Additions or subtractions may occur to the list of models, up to one month prior to a scheduled workshop. If you wish to work with a famous model, we can also help you fill this requirement. The registration fee for a recognized professional model will not be the same as a regular exclusive model at DONMA.

Currently we have not planned sessions with two models at the same time. However, if this is your requirement, please communicate with us so we can discuss how this need may be accommodated.

If your primary intention at the workshop is to shoot erotic photos, please contact us in advance so we may make the appropriate arrangements to have models who are aligned to your specific interest(s).

For photographers with an exclusive arrangement, you may also request an (untrained) assistant. You may want to refer to the "auditor" page to understand just who these people are and what they are expecting to do at the workshop. Think of them as an apprentice. They will be willing to help you produce great work, but you will need to educate them on how to be of help to you. Part of the purpose of the workshop is education, and you will be adding to the creative development of an aspiring artist with this request.
